Attention ESMS neighbors, supporters and friends!

We are reaching out to all of you out there with an opportunity to help forward our vision of developing the East Broadway Business district as the thriving center and heart of the East Somerville community and as a one-of-a-kind destination that reflects or traditions and heritage.

As many of you already know, October 25th from 6-9:30pm, East Somerville Main Streets will be kicking off the First Annual East Broadway Foodie Crawl. The large crowd coming is a HUGE WIN in advancing our mission as all of these people will be introduced to the East Broadway Business District in a completely new light.

We are building a Team of Volunteers to make sure this event is a huge success both for ESMS and for East Broadway. All volunteer positions are short enough in length that volunteers can also enjoy all the great restaurants participating in the event!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

• Help Set Up the event! 4:30-6:00pm.
  Setting up the check in stations, making sure all decorations are out, etc.
• Check in our guests! from 5:30-7:00pm, or from 7:00-8:15pm.
  Greeting, giving each person their wristband and a map - this is key to a smooth start to the event!
• Leave the neighborhood spic & span from 9:30-10:30pm.
  Cleaning up all all decorations, tables, etc. This is very important in retaining good relationships with everyone involved.
• Let us know if you'd like to make a donations of goods or services to the Silent Auction. You will be included on the event map to be distributed to 1000+ people.

EVENT DESCRIPTION:

Looking for an exciting culinary adventure? Come to East Broadway for Somerville's first "Eat Outside the Square Foodie Crawl" on Tuesday, October 25th from 6:00-9:30pm! Join us on this culinary expedition, where one ticket opens more than a dozen doors, from Zagat-rated restaurants to the charms of hand-cut Brazilian meat, and home-cooked Ethiopian, Haitian, Salvadorian and Mexican traditional dishes! Our signature sponsor, Mezzo Design Lofts, will also be giving away free merchandise, and there will be live entertainment. The grand finale will be a dessert reception and silent auction at the new state-of-the-art Mudflat Studio. This is a great opportunity to support a local nonprofit, East Somerville Main Streets, which is the organizer of this event.
